Performance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Become a member of the Public Sector East team, focusing on New England or New York.

• Conduct thorough site assessments to uncover mechanical and operational inefficiencies in facilities.

• Review utility bills and financial reports.

• Collaborate with contractors to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and technically robust solutions.

• Develop written and schematic technical documents that outline solutions and associated risks.

• Execute analyses for energy savings, operational efficiencies, life cycle costs, and project feasibility.

• Provide energy assessments and establish guaranteed savings based on recommended measures.

• Formulate financial models in accordance with customer specifications and project outcomes.

• Work with Account Executives and Project Managers to create and present proposals to clients.

• Partner with Project Managers to ensure seamless installations and serve as the technical liaison between operations and sales.

• Identify and collaborate with subcontractors and consultants to deliver technical analyses and installation descriptions.

• Authorize equipment purchases to guarantee precise estimates and prompt delivery.

• Identify and develop metrics to ensure energy and operational guarantees are fulfilled.

• Stay updated on technologies, regional regulations, and energy and facility operations.

• Act as an ongoing technical resource consultant for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited Engineering/Technology program or its equivalent.

• Between three (3) to eight (8) years of experience in a construction or energy service-related field.

• Regular travel of approximately 25%-50%, which may include overnight stays.

• Must possess the ability to be effectively self-directed.

• Capability to successfully devise and execute strategies in open protocol environments.

• Any of the following certifications are advantageous: CEM, CMVP, any LEED Certification, NEBB TAB, any ASHRAE Certification, Professional License (PE), NCESS Record.
