Mobile Platform Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver hands-on technical guidance for Clario’s mobile delivery strategy, mentoring engineers, establishing technical direction, and eliminating delivery obstacles.

• Design, construct, maintain, and continuously enhance CI/CD pipelines for Android or iOS applications throughout the build, automated test, signing, and release phases.

• Take ownership of and automate the mobile release lifecycle, including versioning, certificates, provisioning profiles, keystores, secrets, and deployment via Apple App Store or Google Play.

• Diagnose intricate mobile build, signing, pipeline, and store-deployment challenges while enhancing reliability, security, monitoring, build performance, and developer experience.

• Collaborate with Mobile Engineering, QA, Security, and Product teams to establish scalable delivery practices and contribute to overarching mobile engineering initiatives as the platform develops.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in mobile software development, Mobile DevOps, build engineering, release engineering, or related fields.

• Hands-on experience in deploying Android or iOS applications to production through Google Play or the Apple App Store, with a solid understanding of the mobile release lifecycle.

• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD, build or release automation using tools such as Fastlane, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Codemagic, CircleCI, or similar platforms.

• Knowledge of mobile signing and release prerequisites, including certificates, provisioning profiles, keystores, secrets management, and store submission procedures.

• Strong software development or scripting capabilities using Swift, Kotlin, Bash, Python, or similar technologies, with a passion for mobile delivery automation and developer tooling.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive delivery while remaining actively involved.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a capacity to work across engineering, QA, security, and product teams.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, cloud-native platforms, C#/.NET MAUI, LaunchDarkly, or AI-assisted developer tools is advantageous.
