Mobile DevOps Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of engineers in executing Clario's mobile DevOps strategy while remaining actively engaged in daily engineering tasks.

• Design, construct, and oversee CI/CD pipelines that support Android and iOS mobile applications, encompassing build, test, signing, and release automation.

• Take ownership of the complete mobile application delivery workflow, which includes release automation, code signing, certificates, provisioning profiles, keystores, and deployment to the Apple App Store or Google Play.

• Enhance pipeline reliability, security, monitoring, and developer efficiency by implementing automation, quality checkpoints, secrets management, and ongoing improvements.

• Collaborate with Mobile Engineering, QA, Security, and Product teams to refine release processes, tackle intricate deployment issues, and establish engineering best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, Release Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience in facilitating mobile application delivery.

• Proven expertise in managing production CI/CD pipelines for Android or iOS applications up to App Store or Google Play releases.

• Strong familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar, including pipeline automation and troubleshooting.

• Experience in managing mobile signing infrastructure, including certificates, provisioning profiles, keystores, secrets management, and release automation.

• Proficient scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation purposes.

• Experience with Docker and containerized build environments.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and drive delivery while remaining hands-on.

• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the capability to work effectively across engineering, QA, security, and product teams.

• Ability to work remotely from Costa Rica while collaborating regularly across global teams and time zones.

• Preferred: Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, cloud-native platforms like AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GKE; familiarity with the C#/.NET MAUI ecosystem, LaunchDarkly, or AI-assisted developer tools.
