This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +5 more countries.
β’ Develop and deploy cross-platform applications using Flutter and React Native, from initial specifications to store release.
β’ Manage the release pipeline, including builds, signing, TestFlight, Play Console submissions, and staged rollouts.
β’ Connect applications to real backends, including authentication flows, REST and GraphQL APIs, offline caching, background synchronization, and push notifications.
β’ Dive into native code when necessary, utilizing platform channels, native modules, and bridging with Swift and Kotlin.
β’ Utilize coding agents to assist with the majority of the coding, followed by a thorough review of the generated code before merging.
β’ Conduct testing on real devices, monitor crash reports, and address any issues uncovered during testing.
β’ Integrate applications with Supabase and Firebase, managing authentication, access rules, offline caching, push notifications, and server routes with third-party suppliers.
β’ Maintain performance standards, focusing on cold start times, frame rates, bundle sizes, and battery consumption.
β’ Collaborate directly with product owners and designers without any intermediary communication.
β’ Over 3 years of extensive mobile development experience, with at least 5 applications successfully released to app stores. Be prepared to discuss any of these applications and defend their architecture.
β’ A practice of agentic development that emphasizes consistent output and a clear understanding of past limitations.
β’ Ability to review the output generated by agents, identifying nearly correct authentication flows, unindexed queries, and state persistence issues during hot and cold reloads. Shipping unreviewed output is not acceptable.
β’ Strong foundational knowledge in software architecture, relational data modeling, app lifecycle and backgrounding, permission models, and OS fragmentation.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of APIs from end to end, including REST and GraphQL, authentication and token refresh, pagination, retries, timeouts, webhooks, and versioning. Experience integrating third-party APIs even with inadequate documentation is essential.
β’ Familiarity with store submission processes and policies, including provisioning, signing, package IDs, privacy declarations, and review guidelines. You should have experience addressing and overcoming app rejections.
β’ Knowledge of platform conventions, including Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design, ensuring that specifications account for user experience elements such as left-edge swiping, minimum tap targets, confirmation for destructive actions, and existence of loading states.
β’ Ownership of security practices, understanding that anything compiled into an app is accessible. Experience moving supplier calls server-side to enhance security and establishing correct access rules within Supabase or Firebase is required.
β’ Proactive identification of potential failure modes before quality assurance, including denied permissions, oversized text on small screens, and stalled uploads. Avoid returning empty lists during network errors to maintain a functional user interface.
β’ Engage with products that target both US and global markets, rather than internal tools that won't see external use.
β’ Experience rapid scaling, with some of our products moving from launch to hundreds of thousands of users within weeks.
β’ Opportunity to contribute to the next potential unicorn. We collaborate with founders early in the process, so the app you design this quarter may be the one securing Series A funding next year.
β’ Enjoy a fully remote and asynchronous work environment, allowing you to work where and when youβre most productive.
β’ Experience genuine autonomy regarding agent setup, architecture, and workflow, as we do not impose rigid processes.
β’ Access to a tooling budget for model APIs, agent subscriptions, and other resources that enhance your productivity.
β’ Work on a diverse range of products across various client projects rather than being confined to a single codebase for multiple years.
