Mitigation Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct water mitigation, fire/smoke remediation, mold removal, and demolition tasks under the supervision of the Mitigation Manager.

• Evaluate affected areas to help define the scope of work, identifying both salvageable and non-salvageable materials.

• Set up, monitor, and dismantle drying apparatus such as air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and moisture monitoring devices.

• Execute extraction, debris removal, demolition, cleaning, sanitizing, and handling of contents.

• Record job progress through photographs, moisture readings, sketches, and daily notes using approved systems and software.

• Liaise with customers to provide updates on project status, expectations, and daily activities.

• Operate company vehicles, trailers, and restoration equipment.

• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.

• Aid in the setup of containment, negative air systems, and protective measures for the site.

• Load, unload, inventory, and transport equipment, materials, and contents between job sites, warehouses, and storage locations.

• Assist with warehouse organization, equipment maintenance, and overall facility upkeep.

• Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, subcontractors, and other departments to efficiently complete projects and uphold quality standards.

• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support business operations and customer requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of one or more IICRC Restoration Certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT, etc.) is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Restoration Technician is preferred.

• At least 1-2 years of general work experience.

• Capability to lift at least 75 pounds.

• Valid Driver’s license in good standing without any restrictions.

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move equipment, materials, and debris weighing up to 75 lbs.

• Comfortable performing physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.

• Willingness to work in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, and other challenging settings.

• Ability to work around water, mold, fire, smoke, and other property damage conditions while wearing necessary PPE.

• Proficient in operating mitigation equipment and safely handling tools and materials used in restoration tasks.

• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and job-site environments.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations and respond to emergency service calls as necessary.

• Must engage in required training, certification programs, safety meetings, and continuing education activities.

• Ability to adhere to company safety protocols, including proper PPE usage, hazard communication, and safe operation of equipment.

• Technical proficiency with new technologies and digital platforms.
