Military Family Life Counselor, West of Mississippi Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer confidential and non-medical counseling services to service members, their spouses, children, and families.

• Provide short-term, solution-oriented support and consultation services.

• Engage in outreach activities and foster relationships within military communities.

• Conduct trainings, workshops, and wellness programs tailored to military audiences.

• Assist military families during relocation, deployment, reintegration, and transitions in schooling.

• Collaborate with installation leadership, family support organizations, educational institutions, and community resources.

• Participate in health fairs, community events, and initiatives focused on resilience building.

• Offer referrals and assist with resource navigation as necessary.

• Ensure compliance with Department of Defense program requirements and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a similar behavioral health discipline.

• Independent and unrestricted clinical licensure such as LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, Psychologist, or equivalent independent clinical license.

• Experience in providing counseling or behavioral health services.

• Capability to work effectively with military populations and diverse communities.

• Strong skills in presentation, consultation, and relationship building.

• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary background investigations or government credentials.

• Military affiliation, experience as a military spouse, veteran status, or prior MFLC experience are highly regarded, though not mandatory.
