Military Family Life Counselor, East of Mississippi Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer confidential, non-medical, short-term, solution-oriented counseling to service members, spouses, children, and families.

• Provide support and consultation services.

• Engage in outreach activities and foster relationships within military communities.

• Conduct trainings, workshops, and wellness programs for military audiences.

• Assist military families during relocation, deployment, reintegration, and school transitions.

• Collaborate with installation leadership, family support organizations, educational institutions, and community resources.

• Participate in health fairs, community events, and resilience-building initiatives.

• Offer referrals and assist with resource navigation when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with Department of Defense program requirements and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline.

• Independent, unrestricted clinical licensure such as LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, Psychologist, or an equivalent independent clinical license.

• Proven experience in providing counseling or behavioral health services.

• Capability to effectively engage with military populations and diverse communities.

• Strong skills in presentation, consultation, and relationship-building.

• Ability to secure and maintain necessary background investigations or government credentials.

• Military affiliation, experience as a military spouse, veteran status, or previous MFLC experience are highly regarded but not mandatory.
