Middleware Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, configuration, and deployment of docuflow middleware solutions.

• Set up and manage connections and integrations between enterprise systems.

• Contribute to the development and support of system interfaces utilizing middleware and integration technologies.

• Diagnose and resolve interface, connectivity, and integration issues.

• Oversee integration flows and system performance while identifying potential problems.

• Provide support for deployments, upgrades, and production incidents.

• Aid in implementation and support projects across various customer environments.

• Collaborate with SAP, infrastructure, and customer teams to comprehend technical requirements and address issues.

• Engage in customer meetings and project discussions in a supportive and educational role.

• Manage assigned tasks across multiple projects, prioritizing work according to project needs.

• Maintain technical documentation and communicate issues, solutions, and recommendations effectively.

• Work towards becoming the primary technical contact for customers and projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in software development, system integration, middleware, or a related technical field.

• A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• A foundational knowledge of Java and/or .NET development.

• Understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to grasp how different systems communicate and exchange data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.

• Comfortable in a customer-facing role.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across different time zones, especially during European or North American business hours.

• Preference for candidates in the EU Region; those outside the EU may be considered if they can work EU business hours or maintain significant overlap with EU time zones.

• Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services is advantageous.

• Exposure to APIs, XML, JSON, or other data exchange formats is beneficial.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud and on-premises integration architectures is a plus.

• Understanding of SSL certificates, authentication, and connectivity troubleshooting is beneficial.

• Experience with middleware or integration platforms is a plus.

• Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization is advantageous.

• Experience supporting software deployments or production environments is beneficial.

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

• Prior experience with system-to-system integrations is advantageous.

• Knowledge of enterprise document management or archiving solutions is a plus.

• Proficiency in the German language is an asset, though not required.
