Middle School Science Curriculum Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive curricula for middle school science disciplines, encompassing scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans.

• Produce engaging student-oriented lessons, problem sets, laboratory activities, projects, real-world applications, homework assignments, and both formative and summative assessments.

• Ensure compliance with New York State standards as well as Zeta’s academic vision and desired outcomes.

• Incorporate inquiry-based learning, conceptual comprehension, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

• Develop assessments that evaluate both content mastery and the application of skills.

• Work collaboratively with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and fellow curriculum developers.

• Utilize educator feedback and student performance data to refine and enhance curriculum resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree.

• A minimum of three years of experience in designing and/or delivering high-quality secondary science instruction.

• A demonstrated history of creating rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive curriculum.

• Familiarity with New York State standards and Zeta’s academic vision and goals.

• Permanent eligibility to work in the U.S.
