Middle School Math Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee instructional programs for middle school mathematics learners.

• Regularly consult with learning coaches and students via phone, Internet, and curriculum tools.

• Complete grading, prepare progress reports, and hold parent conferences.

• Facilitate asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction.

• Evaluate curriculum and create alternative lesson strategies to enhance student comprehension.

• Develop and revise Personal Learning Plans and schedules.

• Score assessments, provide constructive feedback, propose instructional strategies, monitor assignments, and mentor on special projects.

• Collaborate with teachers to foster student advancement and coordinate responsibilities.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the K-12 curriculum and in-depth knowledge of assigned courses.

• Offer alternative strategies and additional support with assignments and projects.

• Maintain accurate student records and data, including attendance and contact logs.

• Create enrichment activities and program adjustments in collaboration with teachers and learning specialists.

• Organize social events and relevant student field trips.

• Manage regional field trips and integrate them into the educational curriculum.

• Establish and sustain a virtual school community.

• Engage in state testing organization and administration.

• Participate in student recruitment sessions and marketing initiatives that require teacher representation.

• Coordinate with Advisory Teachers and the School Counselor regarding family communications, student progress, and goals.

• Attend field trips and community events.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School Mathematics in New Mexico.

• Possess a Secondary 6-12 license or K-8 license with a math endorsement.

• Strong technology skills, particularly in Microsoft OS and MS Office applications.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Customer-focused mindset.

• High degree of adaptability.

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated history of being a team player.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events, which may include overnight trips.

• Ability to work remotely.

• Capability to work occasional evening hours as necessary to support families.
