This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership and enhance the primary design system that supports web and mobile application platforms.
• Create and sustain Figma components, widgets, and primitives utilizing advanced variants, properties, auto layout, and constraints.
• Manage variable and token architecture across primitive, semantic, and component layers, including multi-brand theme modes.
• Conduct audits of the design library, oversee versioning, plan for deprecations, and work to minimize design debt.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to review implementations and ensure alignment between code and Figma designs.
• Align component properties, states, and naming conventions across Figma libraries and front-end code, including Storybook.
• Define and document design patterns, usage guidelines, and rules for responsive behavior.
• Provide support to designers through onboarding, usage reviews, and component gap analyses.
• Establish procedures for system requests, pattern proposals, and resolving library-related friction.
• Communicate system decisions effectively and align internal stakeholders around established standards.
• Design comprehensive features, flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Validate design hypotheses in collaboration with UX Researchers and Product Managers through usability testing, interviews, and user feedback.
• Uphold WCAG AA accessibility principles across all digital platforms.
• Proficiency in Ukrainian/Russian is mandatory.
• Over 3 years of experience as a Product Designer, including a minimum of 1 year focused on building and managing a production design system utilized by other teams.
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, encompassing advanced component architecture, sets, variable layers, design tokens, and multi-brand theming.
• Strong technical literacy with the ability to interpret HTML/CSS/JSX or Storybook pages.
• Capable of engaging in constructive technical discussions with front-end developers.
• Practical knowledge of responsive design principles across various breakpoints and platform constraints.
• Familiarity with WCAG AA accessibility standards, including focus states, contrast ratios, and keyboard navigation.
• Proven track record in conducting usability research, iterating on prototypes, and deriving requirements from team briefs.
• Exceptional communication skills for articulating system decisions, facilitating alignment between teams, and diplomatically managing feature requests.
• Experience working in or alongside a dedicated Design Ops function is a plus.
• Knowledge of visual design principles and brand consistency is a plus.
• Experience in establishing deprecation strategies and managing extensive UI kit migrations is a plus.
