Middle Backend Engineer, Backoffice Team – Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services utilizing Python 3.11 with Django / DRF.

• Participate in architectural discussions and make technical decisions.

• Utilize MySQL and Redis to create reliable and high-performance systems.

• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs for both internal and external integrations.

• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Compliance, and Business teams to deliver impactful features and automate back-office processes and workflows.

• Analyze and resolve production issues, identify bottlenecks, and assist in reducing technical debt.

• Adhere to best practices in Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub Actions), and code quality standards.

• Assist in enhancing architecture, development processes, and internal tooling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and knowledgeable in Django (or similar frameworks).

• Solid understanding of relational databases, caching mechanisms, and backend systems.

• Experience in developing REST APIs and services.

• Capability to take ownership of tasks and work autonomously.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD methodologies, and contemporary development workflows.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in English (B2 level or higher) and fluent in Russian.

• Nice to have: Experience in fintech, regulated industries, or internal B2B tools.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).

• Nice to have: Contributions to open source projects or personal side projects.
