Mid-Level Systems Development Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and sustain systems, APIs, and services utilized in Finnet’s solutions.

• Create applications using Python, Node.js, and Java.

• Build and manage REST APIs and system integrations.

• Engage with distributed architectures, service-to-service communication, and messaging.

• Investigate incidents, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues in applications, integrations, and databases.

• Identify root causes and suggest permanent resolutions.

• Participate in defining and refining solution architectures.

• Apply principles of Clean Code, Design Patterns, and software architecture.

• Implement retry, timeout, circuit breaker, and fallback mechanisms, including Resilience4j.

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.

• Work with relational databases and SQL queries.

• Assist in database troubleshooting and performance evaluation.

• Utilize Azure DevOps, version control, pull requests, pipelines, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Engage in code reviews and technical discussions.

• Evaluate solution impacts, risks, and efforts.

• Monitor production applications and address incidents.

• Collaborate with development, product, quality, infrastructure, security, and other teams.

• Share knowledge and contribute to the technical development of the team.

• Recognize opportunities for automation and continuous enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing systems and a strong foundation in software engineering.

• Familiarity with or knowledge of Node.js, Java, and/or Python.

• Experience in developing and utilizing REST APIs.

• Background in system integration.

• Understanding of distributed architectures and microservices.

• Knowledge of messaging systems and asynchronous processing.

• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.

• Experience in analyzing and resolving database issues.

• Background in unit and integration testing.

• Competency in Git and version control systems.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of Design Patterns and development best practices.

• Familiarity with resilience patterns such as Circuit Breaker, Retry, Timeout, and Fallback.

• Knowledge of application and API security principles.

• Experience in application troubleshooting and log analysis.

• Demonstrated technical curiosity, initiative, analytical skills, and critical thinking.

• Strong communication and collaborative working abilities.

• Capability to work independently.

• Strong prioritization skills and a sense of urgency.

• Ability to evaluate impact, risk, and complexity.

• Comfortable in dynamic environments with diverse technologies.

• Preferred: experience with financial systems, banking, payment methods, collections, or reconciliation.

• Preferred: experience managing high transaction volumes and integrations.

• Preferred: knowledge of Docker, AWS and/or Azure, observability, monitoring, API security, and legacy application modernization.
