Mid-Level Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collect and document both functional and non-functional requirements for new initiatives as well as for the support and maintenance of medium- and high-complexity systems.

• Engage in meetings with requesters and various stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of business requirements.

• Execute testing and user acceptance processes, which include preparing test scripts, executing them, and overseeing unit, load, and integration tests.

• Assist in user acceptance testing and automate tests using tools designed to enhance the efficiency of the process.

• Plan and oversee deployments while conducting risk assessments, developing contingency and rollback strategies, tracking activities and ownership, and managing schedules.

• Identify and address issues either permanently or through alternative solutions, managing requests, tasks, service challenges, and incidents.

• Suggest enhancements and solutions to guarantee system availability, performance, and reliability.

• Record technical debt to aid in appropriate prioritization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related Technology field.

• Familiarity with security protocols, authentication processes, and version control systems.

• Experience with DB2 databases.

• Proficient in gathering both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Understanding of DB2 database queries and optimization techniques.

• Proven experience in developing COBOL/CICS/DB2 applications and COBOL batch programs.

• Knowledge of COBOL, DevOps, .NET C#, and SQL Server is advantageous.

• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.

• Intermediate proficiency in English, especially in reading, is preferred.

• Familiarity with banking systems is a plus.

• Understanding of systems architecture is an advantage.

• Experience in integrating and modernizing legacy systems and microservices is beneficial.
