Mid-level Software Engineer, Node, Typescript, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and maintain software applications utilizing NodeJS and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with teams across engineering, product management, architecture, data engineering, quality assurance, and IT.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.

• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback.

• Diagnose and resolve software application issues.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development.

• Create and maintain technical documentation.

• Work alongside quality assurance to uphold high software quality standards.

• Adhere to Agile software development processes and methodologies.

• Take part in training and professional development initiatives.

• Provide accurate progress updates during daily standups, including any blockers and revised timelines.

• Engage in retrospectives and deliver critical feedback for team enhancement.

• Raise blockers and issues to the appropriate leadership.

• Assist in onboarding new employees and instruct them on the GSTV development methodology.

• Establish and advocate for best practices and patterns, including automation to boost team efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies like Scrum.

• Proficient in using VSCode, Git, and Jira.

• Understanding of code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and Terraform.

• Experience with software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.

• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and ORMs.

• Experience developing software within an Agile framework.

• Experience in designing, building, and supporting highly scalable systems on AWS is advantageous.

• Preference for candidates who have worked in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant AWS certifications are a plus.
