Mid-Level Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and enhancement of a strategic webhook-based integration solution.

• Comprehend and contribute to the existing webhook codebase, architecture, integrations, and development methodologies.

• Execute new features, enhancements, and technical upgrades.

• Resolve prioritized defects, manage technical debt, and implement lower-complexity enhancements.

• Diagnose application and integration issues.

• Work with APIs, webhooks, authentication, authorization, permissions, and related integration elements.

• Create unit and integration tests while ensuring code quality is maintained.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

• Utilize AI agents and agentic development tools for codebase exploration and technical comprehension.

• Analyze code, identify dependencies, trace application workflows, and highlight potential issues.

• Leverage AI-assisted development for implementation, refactoring, debugging, test creation, and documentation.

• Investigate defects and expedite root-cause analysis through agentic workflows.

• Identify opportunities for technical debt reduction and code quality improvements.

• Validate AI-generated code to ensure engineering quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to grasp requirements and prioritize tasks.

• Team up with QA to investigate defects and verify changes.

• Document technical choices, implementation specifics, and operational knowledge.

• Enhance test coverage and overall code quality.

• Aid in establishing scalable Agentic Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with contemporary software development practices and version control systems.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.

• Strong knowledge of HTTP, request/response patterns, authentication, and authorization methodologies.

• Experience working with and navigating an existing production codebase.

• Proficient in writing unit and/or integration tests.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously in an Agile/iterative delivery framework.

• Demonstrated interest or experience in AI-assisted software development or Agentic SDLC practices.

• Preferred: experience with AI coding agents, agentic development tools, or AI-enhanced developer workflows.

• Preferred: experience with AWS services and cloud-native applications.

• Preferred: experience with serverless architectures, Lambda, API Gateway, or similar technologies.

• Preferred: familiarity with identity and access management.

• Preferred: experience with event-driven architectures.

• Preferred: experience with CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
