This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
β’ Design, develop, and customize applications, workflows, UI components, and platform features within ServiceNow.
β’ Create and modify Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, data policies, Flow Designer flows, and other related components.
β’ Utilize AI tools and large language models (LLMs) β such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, ChatGPT, and Claude β to enhance development speed, improve code quality, generate boilerplate scripts, and troubleshoot platform issues more efficiently.
β’ Employ AI-assisted development methods to automatically generate ServiceNow scripts, Flow Designer logic, and integration payloads from straightforward language requirements.
β’ Develop and configure ServiceNow Now Assist features, including generative AI-powered Virtual Agent dialogues, AI Search, and Predictive Intelligence models.
β’ Integrate external AI/ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini) into ServiceNow workflows using Integration Hub or REST APIs to facilitate intelligent automation.
β’ Design and execute prompt engineering strategies within ServiceNow's Now Assist and Virtual Agent frameworks to deliver precise, context-aware AI responses.
β’ Assist in the development of AI-enhanced ITSM capabilities such as auto-classification of incidents, intelligent ticket routing, and anomaly detection utilizing ServiceNow's ML plugin.
β’ Write unit tests and aid in creating automated test suites using ServiceNow ATF.
β’ Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, and resolve integration issues with the support of senior team members.
β’ Participate in defect resolution, enhancements, and operational support tasks.
β’ Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and senior developers to understand requirements and convert them into functional solutions.
β’ Keep abreast of ServiceNow platform releases, Now Assist updates, and the evolving AI/ML landscape as it relates to enterprise service management.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of software development experience.
β’ At least 2 years of hands-on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
β’ Strong knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with ServiceNow's server/client scripting model.
β’ Proven experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar) to enhance and expedite development tasks.
β’ Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts including prompt engineering, LLM APIs, and automation techniques relevant to the ServiceNow platform.
β’ Practical experience with ServiceNow's AI/ML features β including Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, Now Assist, or AI Search β is highly desirable.
β’ Experience with ServiceNow ATF or other automated testing methodologies.
β’ Capability to interpret functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and operational features.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
β’ ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field β or equivalent professional experience.
