Mid-Level QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality of product deliveries.

• Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance Quality processes, with an emphasis on automation.

• Implement and advocate for a quality culture within the team and associated projects.

• Build a collaborative partnership with the Development team to align and progress projects.

• Conduct both manual and automated functional testing.

• Evaluate and address code, product, and production bugs.

• Comprehend business requirements and regulations to guarantee quality and alignment across projects.

• Engage in the team’s Agile ceremonies.

• Execute exploratory and integration testing based on customer specifications.

• Familiarize with API design and standards to conduct tests.

• Hold meetings with clients to synchronize on requirements.

• Identify tools and innovations suitable for the project context.

• Create and enhance product user documentation.

• Define test scenarios and recognize primary and alternative flows.

• Prepare test data sets and testing environments.

• Collaborate in gathering data for metrics and produce estimates for the customer.

• Apply relevant testing concepts.

• Implement continuous integration for test automation.

• Prepare materials and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions upon project completion.

• Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) and related frameworks, such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.

• Proficient in analyzing use cases and test scenarios.

• Experience in automating tests using programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Node.js.

• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Cucumber, JUnit, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, and JMeter.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or GitLab.

• Knowledge of testing microservices and processing queues like RabbitMQ.

• Proficient in version control using Git.

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Background in working within Agile teams.

• Comprehensive understanding of the solution delivery lifecycle with the capability to suggest improvements.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

• Strong critical-thinking abilities and aptitude for validating application issues.

• Knowledge of querying logs to extract information and report bugs to the Development team.

• Nice to have: knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, OpenShift), horizontal and vertical scaling, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira/Confluence, and TDD.
