Mid-level Java/Kotlin Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold backend applications utilizing Java/Kotlin and frameworks like Spring Boot

• Design and execute RESTful APIs along with system integrations

• Implement software engineering best practices such as SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns

• Engage with messaging and asynchronous processing tools, including SQS, Kafka, and RabbitMQ

• Function within AWS cloud environments, aiding in the development of scalable and resilient solutions

• Conduct evolutionary and corrective maintenance, pinpointing and addressing performance and stability challenges

• Develop and sustain unit and integration tests

• Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to consistently deliver value

• Take part in code reviews and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the team and architecture

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines

• Extensive experience in object-oriented programming and backend development

• Practical experience with Java/Kotlin and the Spring Framework

• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB

• Understanding of distributed architectures and microservices

• Experience with version control systems like Git and continuous integration (CI/CD)

• Familiarity with APIs, authentication, and security measures such as JWT and OAuth

• Excellent communication abilities, teamwork skills, and the capacity to work independently

• Proactive mindset with a desire for ongoing learning and strong problem-solving capabilities
