Mid-Level Java Back-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create software by coding applications, programs, and systems in alignment with project specifications and requirements.

• Conduct testing on developed software, identifying and resolving issues, bugs, and code defects.

• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, comply with deadlines, and achieve customer satisfaction.

• Document code to support future maintenance and updates.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team to aid in solution delivery.

• Develop solutions that are efficient, scalable, and easy to maintain.

• Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance software performance and efficiency.

• Monitor and track production systems, pinpointing issues and executing solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in a programming language (preferred).

• Cloud certification (preferred).

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence applications in development, including Devin, Cursor, or Gemini; AI API integration; LLM concepts; and best practices for AI adoption in backend applications.

• Degree in Technology or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in Java versions 8, 11, and 21.

• Understanding of Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs.

• Knowledge of SQL Server and Sybase.

• Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.

• Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, or Kanban.

• Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge in creating and monitoring batch processes, ideally with Spring Batch.

• Experience with system integration patterns.
