Mid-Level Internal Audit Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain robust, scalable, and auditable data pipelines, emphasizing governance and traceability.

• Combine data from various sources, ensuring quality, consistency, security, and adherence to internal and regulatory standards.

• Set up and manage data storage systems, such as data lakes and lakehouses, with an emphasis on performance and cost efficiency.

• Enhance data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes utilizing contemporary data engineering and automation techniques.

• Contribute to data domain modeling and the creation of analytical pipelines tailored to Internal Audit requirements.

• Work alongside data visualization and analytics teams, aiding in the extraction of value from data and the development of analytical environments.

• Engage in the analysis and modeling of internal systems, suggesting effective strategies for capturing, transporting, and processing information.

• Oversee and enhance data system performance, recommending metrics and strategies for ongoing improvement.

• Facilitate technical discussions and negotiations with business and technology teams, offering effective and sustainable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.

• Completed or in-progress graduate studies in Data Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related areas.

• Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, and Spark.

• Familiarity with platforms like Databricks, AWS, and Kafka is preferred.

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and practices, as well as the automation of analytical processes.

• Experience with GitLab, Confluence, Jira, and agile methodologies.

• Understanding of data modeling and analytical systems architecture.

• Familiarity with implementing analytical pipelines focused on audit and risk.

• Knowledge of monitoring and validating databases and analytical data sources.

• Ability to define and track technical and operational performance metrics.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Intermediate English proficiency is a plus.

• Relevant certifications in data engineering, cloud computing, AI, or analytics tools are advantageous.
