Mid-Level Internal Audit Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold strong, scalable, and auditable data pipelines, emphasizing governance and traceability.

• Integrate data from varied sources, ensuring quality, consistency, security, and adherence to internal and regulatory standards.

• Implement and manage data storage solutions, like data lakes and lakehouses, prioritizing performance and cost-effectiveness.

• Enhance data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes by applying contemporary data engineering and automation methodologies.

• Contribute to data domain modeling and the organization of analytical pipelines that align with Internal Audit requirements.

• Work collaboratively with data visualization and analytics teams, aiding efforts to extract value from information and develop analytical environments.

• Engage in the analysis and modeling of internal systems, suggesting effective strategies for data capture, transport, and processing.

• Monitor and enhance data system performance, recommending metrics and continuous improvement strategies.

• Lead technical discussions with business and technology teams, offering effective and sustainable solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.

• Completed or ongoing postgraduate education in Data Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.

• Proficiency with data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, and Spark.

• Familiarity with platforms such as Databricks, AWS, and Kafka is preferred.

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and practices, along with automating analytical processes.

• Experience using GitLab, Confluence, Jira, and Agile methodologies.

• Understanding of data modeling and the architecture of analytical systems.

• Insight into implementing analytical pipelines focused on audit and risk management.

• Familiarity with monitoring and validating databases and analytical inputs.

• Ability to define and track technical and operational performance indicators.

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

• Demonstrated proactivity.

• Willingness to learn and grow.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Intermediate English proficiency is advantageous.

• Certifications in data engineering, cloud computing, AI, or analytical tools are beneficial.
