Mid-level Incident Response Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Investigate security alerts from the initial detection stage through to containment.

• Conduct triage, log analysis, and incident response activities across designated cases.

• Oversee incident investigations from start to finish.

• Escalate complex or high-severity incidents as necessary.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with security leadership.

• Document findings from investigations, including timelines and remediation measures.

• Participate in on-call rotations.

• Collaborate with security operations teams to identify indicators of compromise.

• Analyze attack patterns to enhance response efforts.

• Utilize SIEM, EDR, and various security tools to monitor threats, investigate incidents, and support ongoing security operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of practical experience in incident response, security operations, or SOC analyst positions.

• Capability to independently manage active investigations.

• Proficient knowledge of SIEM, EDR, log analysis, threat detection, and common cyberattack techniques.

• Exceptional communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

• Availability to commence work within 1 to 2 weeks.

• Shift times and schedules may vary based on operational requirements.
