Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Construct and uphold scalable backend services for player accounts, wallets, games, leaderboards, and essential platform features.

• Design and enhance Node.js microservices and APIs.

• Engage with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.

• Establish and sustain real-time capabilities utilizing WebSockets, Pub/Sub, and messaging systems.

• Create dynamic and efficient web experiences using React.

• Utilize PostgreSQL and Redis to develop dependable, high-performance data systems.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, front-end engineers, and DevOps to bring features from inception to production.

• Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

• Advance CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and development processes.

• Investigate production issues and contribute to sustainable solutions.

• Assume ownership of projects and features while collaborating with senior engineers on technical direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and backend development.

• Experience in constructing and managing APIs and backend services.

• Solid understanding of databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Experience with React and contemporary front-end development.

• Familiarity with real-time systems such as WebSockets.

• Comprehension of asynchronous and event-driven architectures.

• Experience with CI/CD and modern development workflows.

• Strong grasp of software engineering principles.

• Capability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Proactive approach and readiness to take ownership of tasks.

• Comfortable working independently while closely collaborating with a remote team.

• Experience in the crypto or iGaming sectors.

• Background in gaming, gambling, or iGaming platforms.

• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.

• Familiarity with game networking, animations, or interactive applications.

• Experience with AWS or other cloud services.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.

• Familiarity with PixiJS or similar rendering/game frameworks.

• Experience working with high-traffic or high-throughput platforms.
