• This is a remote opportunity available in the Data department.

• As a Mid-level Data Analyst at Afya, your main duties will include conducting data analysis and modeling, as well as creating dashboards and metrics in Power BI, while ensuring the integrity, clarity, and governance of information.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a relevant field.

• Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, and optimization).

• Familiarity with Git (best practices in code versioning and collaboration).

• Extensive experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and visualization best practices).

• Understanding of data modeling (Star Schema, dimensions and facts, SCDs).

• Knowledge of Python for data analysis, manipulation, and developing analytical models.

• Understanding of applied statistics and exploratory data analysis.

• Experience or knowledge in supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning techniques.

• Ability to narrate insights through data and present findings effectively.

• Experience working within Data Warehouse and/or Data Lake environments.

• Preferred: experience with DBT and/or Databricks.

• Familiarity with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and XGBoost.

• Knowledge of MLOps, MLflow, or model deployment for Machine Learning.

• Experience in data governance and Self-Service BI.

• Understanding of Feature Engineering and the evaluation of predictive models.

• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and applications utilizing language models.
