Mid-Level Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Support the architecture of databases for AI initiatives

• Aid in the establishment and upkeep of data pipelines for the ingestion, storage, and processing of substantial data volumes

• Ensure data availability, accessibility, and readiness for data scientists and other stakeholders

• Assist in the prototyping and testing of Generative AI models to address specific business challenges

• Engage in the analysis of AI model logs and usage metrics to pinpoint failures, unexpected behaviors, or opportunities to enhance user experience

• Document the processes, methodologies, and outcomes of AI projects

• Contribute to the design of business process solutions utilizing AI

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of database architecture and design of data pipelines

• Familiarity with data integration across systems

• Proficiency in tools for structured, vector, and unstructured databases

• Experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL

• Knowledge of infrastructure and cloud platform frameworks including Salesforce, AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Dataiku

• Awareness of development stacks and frameworks for LLMs, Agents, and Agentic AI

• Familiarity with MLOps and AIOps architectures, including CI/CD for models, versioning, and monitoring using MLflow

• Experience with IDE-based tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Codex

• Certifications in Databricks, Azure, or AWS are advantageous

• Knowledge of SAS is a plus

• Experience in implementing machine learning and computer vision solutions within data pipelines is beneficial

• Understanding of data governance is advantageous

• Experience in optimizing infrastructure costs (FinOps) for AI projects is a plus

• Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) for AI initiatives is a plus
