Mid-Level Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Support the architectural design of databases for AI initiatives.

• Aid in the establishment and upkeep of data pipelines for the acquisition, storage, and processing of substantial data volumes.

• Ensure data is readily available, accessible, and prepared for data scientists and other stakeholders.

• Assist in the prototyping and evaluation of Generative AI models aimed at addressing specific business challenges.

• Engage in the assessment of logs and usage metrics for AI models to pinpoint failures, anomalies, or potential enhancements to the user experience.

• Document processes, methodologies, and outcomes related to AI initiatives.

• Collaborate in the design of business process solutions utilizing AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with database architecture and data pipeline design.

• Understanding of data integration across various systems.

• Proficiency with structured, vector, and unstructured database tools.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and SQL.

• Experience with infrastructure and cloud platform frameworks, including Salesforce, AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Dataiku.

• Insights into technology stacks and development frameworks for LLMs, Agents, and Agentic AI.

• Awareness of MLOps and AIOps architectures, encompassing CI/CD for models, version control, and monitoring with MLflow.

• Familiarity with tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Codex.

• Certifications in Databricks, Azure, or AWS are advantageous.

• Knowledge of SAS is considered a plus.

• Experience in implementing machine learning and computer vision solutions within data pipelines is beneficial.

• Understanding of data governance is advantageous.

• Experience in optimizing infrastructure costs (FinOps) in AI projects is a plus.

• Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) for AI projects is an added benefit.
