MES Solution Architect – Siemens OpCenter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define, design, and oversee the technical architecture for Siemens OpCenter MES implementations across various manufacturing locations.

• Design and architect multi-site OpCenter MES implementations focusing on scalability, security, and performance.

• Establish comprehensive technical solutions, including interfaces, middleware, and integrations with ERP (SAP S/4HANA), Asset Management, Learning Management, and Calibration systems.

• Lead assessments of solution feasibility and make architectural choices that align with business requirements.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams regarding design, coding, integration, configuration, deployment, and best practices.

• Address complex technical challenges, conduct troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and enhance performance in OpCenter MES and MOM Connect.

• Review and approve design documentation, configuration models, and integration specifications.

• Engage in and facilitate technical workshops, discovery sessions, and architecture review boards with business SMEs, IT stakeholders, and plant leadership.

• Contribute to governance frameworks, DevOps advancements, and cross-functional technical alignment.

• Supervise the installation, configuration, deployment, and upgrades of OpCenter MES across global sites.

• Offer technical expertise on MSSQL database tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of experience as specified in the role header.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Siemens OpCenter MES, particularly in the Medical Devices sector.

• Strong proficiency in OpCenter Designer and Portal Studio.

• Solid expertise in OpCenter MOM Connect and MOM modules.

• Robust understanding of OpCenter data structures and online data storage.

• Experience with CAMSTAR modeling and interoperability (CIO/MIO) for equipment and ERP integrations.

• In-depth troubleshooting skills across OpCenter applications and integrations.

• Strong familiarity with C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, and XML.

• MSSQL / SQL Server administration and query optimization, with DBA-level knowledge.

• Preferred: 8–12+ years of overall experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Siemens OpCenter architecture roles.

• Proven success in delivering global MES programs utilizing reusable, standardized architectural components.
