This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement a focused business development approach targeting clients in Technology, Media & Telecommunications.
• Establish and sustain a strong pipeline of new business prospects.
• Initiate and finalize opportunities in merchant acquiring, integrated payments, and value-added services.
• Guide intricate consultative sales processes from initial prospecting to final implementation.
• Meet or surpass individual sales and revenue goals.
• Act as a subject matter expert in merchant payments within the TMT sector.
• Provide clients with insights on embedded payments, subscription billing, marketplaces, omnichannel commerce, payment orchestration, digital wallets, cross-border transactions, and fraud prevention.
• Offer strategic insights that enhance payment performance and improve customer experiences.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and key decision-makers.
• Identify and connect with various buying centers within prospective clients.
• Collaborate with Corporate Banking, Treasury Management, Product, Risk, Pricing, Legal, Implementation, Client Management, and Banking/Relationship Manager teams.
• Spot opportunities to strengthen client relationships and increase wallet share.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA is preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in merchant acquiring, merchant services, payments, fintech, treasury management, or a related field in financial services sales.
• Proven success in originating and closing intricate business development opportunities.
• Established track record in guiding clients and internal stakeholder teams through collaboration and influence.
• Strong business and financial understanding.
• Skills in consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and communication.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, estimated at 40%-50% per year.
• Extensive knowledge of merchant acquiring, payment acceptance, ecommerce, integrated payments, and digital commerce.
• Experience working with clients in Software, SaaS, FinTech, Telecommunications, Digital Media, Marketplaces, Cloud Technology, Gaming, or ISV sectors.
• Acknowledged expertise within the TMT ecosystem.
• Capability to engage clients on topics such as digital commerce, embedded payments, AI-driven customer experiences, and new monetization strategies.
• Requires at least 10 hours of driving per week for business meetings with bank partners and clients.
• Candidates must adhere to U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, as well as related workplace conduct and safety regulations.
