
Mental Health Throughput Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
⢠Manage and enhance the complete patient flow across Mental Health services.
⢠Provide operational direction for intake, patient access, scheduling, provider capacity management, referral conversion, care coordination, billing throughput, and process enhancement.
⢠Directly oversee Intake Coordinators, Scheduling Specialists, Access Coordinators, and additional operational support personnel.
⢠Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor team members.
⢠Conduct individual meetings, coaching sessions, and performance assessments.
⢠Set productivity, quality, and service performance expectations.
⢠Create staffing models and schedules while managing attendance, PTO approvals, and workforce planning.
⢠Supervise patient intake, access workflows, referrals, inquiries, appointment requests, waitlists, and backfill strategies.
⢠Track patient flow, provider capacity, visit completions, cancellations, no-shows, rescheduling, continuity of care, and patient leakage.
⢠Oversee internal and external referrals, referral aging, conversion metrics, transitions of care, documentation, and authorization prerequisites.
⢠Collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams to resolve billing and claims challenges, ensure scheduling and registration accuracy, charge capture, and address revenue delays.
⢠Develop and uphold operational workflows and SOPs; identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements.
⢠Lead operational projects and system implementations while coordinating the onboarding of new providers.
⢠Assist in launching new programs, market expansions, and strategic initiatives.
⢠Utilize Lean principles, dashboards, KPIs, Excel, business intelligence tools, and reporting platforms to analyze trends and pinpoint improvements.
⢠Create leadership reports and present operational insights and recommendations.
⢠Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies; oversee accuracy, conduct audits, implement corrective actions, and support quality improvement efforts.
⢠Bilingual in Spanish is required.
⢠Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
⢠3ā5 years of experience in healthcare operations or patient access.
⢠A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
⢠Familiarity with mental health practices.
⢠Strong understanding of scheduling workflows and patient access management.
⢠Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
⢠Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
