Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Offer psychosocial support and educational services to individuals, couples, and families aged 13 and above.

• Expand and enhance the Minute Clinic mental health practice.

• Operate at the full scope of your license with backing from the clinical care team.

• Provide evidence-based mental health services.

• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans.

• Deliver short-term counseling utilizing approaches such as motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

• Collaborate on patient care to ensure continuity of services.

• Engage patients within their communities through virtual therapy sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active and unrestricted State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington state and/or California.

• Willingness and capacity to acquire additional state licenses and credentials to practice across multiple states based on organizational needs.

• Proven exceptional skills in diagnosis, collaborative care, treatment planning, and short-term counseling.

• Experience in applying evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

• Completed a Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.

• Experience with, or readiness to learn and adapt to, virtual therapy delivery.

• Comprehensive understanding of the psychosocial dimensions of health and illness.

• Tech-savvy and proficient in using electronic health record systems and various platforms.

• Familiarity with insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare billing protocols.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention.

• Previous experience in a mental health clinic or hospital environment.
