Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer psychosocial support and education to individuals, couples, and families aged 13 and above.

• Develop and expand the Minute Clinic mental health practice.

• Conduct evidence-based assessments, create treatment plans, and provide short-term counseling.

• Utilize motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.

• Ensure continuity of care through effective assessment and treatment planning tools.

• Collaborate with the clinical care team for comprehensive patient support.

• Deliver virtual therapy to patients within their respective communities.

• Operate autonomously at the highest level of the applicable license.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a current, active, and unencumbered state license as an LCSW, LPC, LMHC, or LMFT.

• Willing to acquire additional state licenses as required by business needs.

• Demonstrated excellent skills in diagnostics, care collaboration, treatment planning, and short-term counseling.

• Experience in applying evidence-based methodologies, such as motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

• Hold a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Capable of supporting patients aged 13 and older.

• Availability to work between 20 to 40 hours each week.

• Experience with or openness to learning virtual therapy delivery methods.

• Knowledge of the psychosocial aspects related to illness and health.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and various digital platforms.

• Understanding of insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare billing requirements.

• Possess crisis intervention skills.

• Prior experience in a mental health clinic or hospital environment.
