Member Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Address inquiries from Medicare members and provide solutions to their concerns

• Clarify details regarding medical and dental plans

• Direct members towards suitable answers and resolutions

• Deliver outstanding service in a dynamic, unscripted service center setting

• Handle member calls for the majority of the week

• Engage in training, skill development, and research initiatives

• Attend onboarding training focused on the health insurance sector

• Commit to a scheduled 37.5-hour work week

• Adhere to training and post-training flexible schedules

• Create and maintain a suitable remote workspace

• Participate in trainings and meetings via video conference

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience with regular communication via phone, email, and/or in-person

• Strong proficiency and comfort with technology, including Microsoft Office applications

• Capability to swiftly learn and adapt to new tools and software

• Must reside in the New England region

• Frequent verbal communication and phone interactions with Medicare members

• Ability to use a headset in a quiet setting

• Capability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods

• Ability to establish an ergonomically sound remote workspace

• Compliance with BCBSMA’s Hybrid Working Guidelines, including video participation in trainings and meetings
