This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Collaborate with patients, financial advisors, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive financial advocacy.
• Oversee patients’ copay assistance and experiences with free drug programs.
• Seek out medication assistance and discuss application requirements with patients.
• Adhere to enterprise financial clearance and assistance policies and procedures.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
• Coordinate pharmacy operations for designated areas, ensuring regulatory compliance, automation, medication access, compounding, equipment management, and daily workflows.
• Guarantee compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Take part in the orientation, education, and training of pharmacy employees, residents, students, and staff.
• Ensure alignment with pharmacy and health system standards across various locations.
• Utilize advanced computer systems and area-specific technology.
• Identify and implement process enhancements utilizing lean principles and the plan-do-check-act approach.
• Provide coverage for technician staffing shifts as necessary.
• Direct and organize daily departmental operations and pharmacy personnel resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to meet departmental objectives.
• Cross-cover team member responsibilities and adjust duties to meet evolving organizational and patient needs.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years in a similar external environment OR at least 2 years as a pharmacy technician at The University of Kansas Health System.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy in Kansas and/or Missouri based on work state upon hire.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR an equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Ongoing maintenance of certification and completion of all continuing education requirements.
• Basic keyboarding abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Capability to perform the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
