Medicare Enrollment Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze and process Medicare enrollment forms, verifying their validity, completeness, and accuracy.

• Decide on enrollment actions, conduct outreach, or reject applications in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

• Review and assess documents for quality control prior to final entry.

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of member form information; input and confirm form data.

• Address enrollment issues to ensure a seamless member experience.

• Maintain records of Medicare member enrollment, including modifications, updates, and outreach efforts.

• Meet production and quality benchmarks while managing Workqueues.

• Communicate effectively with both internal and external staff.

• Escalate issues to the appropriate supervisory level.

• Ensure precise data entry and record maintenance.

• Attend mandatory training sessions and demonstrate proficiency.

• Oversee the coordination of benefits (COB) on member records.

• Develop and deliver training for new hires within the department.

• Participate in system testing for new development rollouts.

• Engage in departmental planning for Open Enrollment.

• Process SNP applications and verify eligibility, including Dual-Entitlement and residency within the service area.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Management Team.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education.

• Two (2) years of experience in medical or institutional data entry.

• Two (2) years of customer service experience.

• OR one (1) year of experience in Medicare eligibility and Medicare Enrollment processing.

• Knowledge of medical insurance enrollment processes.

• Familiarity with administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing and managing files and records.

• Ability to follow directions and navigate multiple systems concurrently.

• Exceptional written and oral communication, customer service, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette skills.

• Capability to resolve problems using established methods and guidelines.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

• Capacity to sit for prolonged periods.

• Experience in a standard office environment with electrical equipment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access), Internet Explorer, and EPIC.
