This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Confirm patient insurance post check-in and ensure accurate, updated documentation.
• Analyze denied claims, determine reasons for denial, assist with reprocessing, and follow up on any missing information.
• Examine and process Explanation of Benefits documents and resolve EOB backlogs.
• Address unresolved insurance balances and patient account concerns.
• Facilitate Cigna and Veterans Affairs claims workflows.
• Oversee vendor payments, including issuing checks when necessary.
• Supervise SOAP note completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor missed and canceled appointments, identifying scheduling patterns.
• Generate operational reports covering balances, appointments, EOBs, denied claims, and other relevant metrics.
• Offer insights and actionable recommendations in reports.
• Coordinate communication among the provider, care team, and administrative personnel.
• Detect workflow gaps, billing issues, documentation delays, scheduling challenges, and patient account difficulties.
• Propose practical solutions to enhance clinic efficiency.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a healthcare practice in the US.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and a professional communication style.
• Must be proficient in Mac OS.
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
• Demonstrated leadership, ownership, or accountability in a previous position.
• Proactive in anticipating needs before being requested.
• Highly detail-oriented in billing, documentation, and reporting tasks.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Emotionally intelligent and patient when collaborating with a busy provider.
• Confident, professional, and organized in communication.
• Willing to take personal responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Resourceful and self-driven when adapting to new workflows.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable handling sensitive information.
• Monday to Friday schedule, 6 hours per day.
• Performance-based salary increase after 6 months.
• Flexible remote work arrangement.
