Medical Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Create and implement comprehensive medical strategies that support product development, enhancement, commercialization, and growth.

• Organize regular medical strategy meetings to evaluate the status of strategies, shape recommendations, and ensure alignment with wider business objectives.

• Collaborate with Medical and cross-functional stakeholders on evidence generation, KOL engagement, advisory board planning and execution, clinical data translation, sales training, commercialization, and launch initiatives.

• Oversee key medical deliverables to promote alignment, collaboration, and effective execution.

• Analyze the evolving product landscape to identify evidence gaps, risks, and opportunities for differentiation and enhancement.

• Organize and lead the annual Innovation Session, distilling insights into strategic planning actions.

• Cultivate collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners to ensure that medical perspectives contribute to business decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Over 7 years of experience in Medical Strategy, Medical Affairs, or a related role within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or academic sectors.

• Strong clinical, medical, or scientific expertise in oncology, with a preference for experience in breast cancer.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including overnight or weekend travel as necessary.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of quickly learning and effectively utilizing project management, collaboration, and other business technology platforms.

• Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

• An advanced degree in life sciences, molecular biology, business, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience working in a matrixed environment, leading through influence, and coordinating cross-functional development of medical strategies.
