
Medical Scribe, Healthcare Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Deliver real-time medical scribing and documentation during patient consultations
• Review, structure, and condense clinical notes
• Enter, update, audit, and preserve precise patient records utilizing Residex EMR/EHR
• Facilitate patient referrals and follow up with healthcare providers and facilities
• Schedule, confirm, and rearrange patient appointments
• Professionally manage incoming and outgoing calls
• Assist in coordinating staff training and maintaining documentation
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage details
• Process and track prior authorization requests
• Submit claims and follow up on pending, denied, or unpaid claims
• Conduct billing reconciliations and account audits
• Identify missed charges, unbilled services, and unbilled dates
• Support billing catch-up initiatives and financial reconciliations
• Assist with Minnesota Medicaid billing and related documentation
• Maintain organized records, trackers, and administrative workflows
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing, billing, and administrative teams
• Potentially assist with phone triage and provide overnight or 24-hour call coverage in the future
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical scribing, healthcare administration, medical billing, or a related role
• Strong background in healthcare administration or clinical settings
• Experience in medical scribing and clinical documentation
• Familiarity with Residex EMR/EHR is highly desirable
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance verification, prior authorizations, claims processing, and billing workflows
• Experience supporting a U.S.-based healthcare organization
• Nursing or clinical experience is highly preferred but not mandatory
• Registered Nurses from the Philippines are encouraged to apply, although possessing an RN license is not a requirement
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold accurate, confidential records
• Professional, energetic, dependable, and capable of working independently
• Adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong team player interested in establishing a long-term working relationship
• Must communicate in English clearly and professionally
• Relevant work experience is essential
• Must provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding (mandatory)
• Must be available for video meetings with the camera on when required
• Reliable laptop or desktop computer is necessary
• Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps) is required
• Noise-canceling headset is needed
• Working webcam for virtual meetings is essential
