Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Build and nurture scientific relationships with national and regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), patient advocacy groups, and centers of excellence.

• Drive scientific exchange initiatives to convey data, respond to medical inquiries, and enhance awareness of both current and emerging therapies.

• Assist in Phase 2, Phase 3b, and Phase 4 clinical research efforts, which include engaging with investigators and facilitating research proposals.

• Maintain comprehensive scientific, clinical, and therapeutic knowledge across Acadia's portfolio and related disease areas.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Market Access, Commercial, and other internal stakeholders while adhering to compliance standards.

• Collect and relay field insights, emerging scientific developments, and unmet needs of patients and providers.

• Identify avenues to distinguish products through clinical and scientific insights.

• Deliver scientific and educational assistance to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Represent Acadia at medical congresses, educational events, scientific meetings, and industry gatherings.

• Contribute to internal training programs, including speaker development and education for field teams.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, or DNP in a relevant field is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry.

• Experience in psychiatry or neurology is highly preferred.

• Expertise in scientific, clinical, and therapeutic areas.

• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, commercial, and clinical considerations in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Experience in preparing and reviewing Medical Affairs materials, including promotional material assessments.

• Proficient in scientific and drug information communication.

• Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, residing within the designated territory or near a major airport.

• For the Senior Medical Science Liaison level: 7 years of progressively responsible experience, including 3 years as a Medical Science Liaison.

• Ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as necessary based on travel schedules or business demands.

• Capacity to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
