This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ The candidate must be based in Los Angeles, CA, due to the requirements of the territory and account management.
β’ The Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison acts as a specialized, field-oriented scientific authority who collaborates with healthcare professionals to share clinical, scientific, and research insights.
β’ Engage appropriately with key thought leaders, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders in a precise, fair, and balanced way to exchange scientific information.
β’ Serve as the main field contact for Sobi Medical Affairs.
β’ Relay field intelligence to Sobi, including competitive insights, perspectives on compounds, disease states, and the treatment landscape.
β’ Offer support to Sobi's clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, initiation visits, communication facilitation, and accrual assistance.
β’ Participate in or lead advisory board meetings at local, regional, and national levels.
β’ Conduct internal and external training on preclinical science, clinical data, and outcomes.
β’ Represent Sobi at medical conferences and provide summaries of sessions.
β’ Within guidelines, offer cross-functional support across the organization by serving as a scientific resource.
β’ Cultivate and sustain an advanced level of understanding regarding relevant studies, compounds, and diseases to facilitate informed discussions with leading immunology thought leaders.
β’ Continuously uphold a high standard of excellence in managing the assigned territory while also supporting and contributing to the success of colleagues and the MSL organization.
β’ Frequent travel by ground and/or air is necessary.
β’ Reside within 30 minutes of Los Angeles, CA.
β’ Hold an accredited doctorate in a life science or basic science field (Pharm.D., D.Sc., D.N.P., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.).
β’ Have at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
β’ Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate scientific information, address stakeholder needs, and respond effectively to inquiries.
β’ Skilled in building and nurturing positive relationships both internally and within the medical community.
β’ Proven success in managing stakeholders and leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed setting.
β’ Strong project management capabilities, with a knack for prioritizing and managing multiple projects concurrently.
β’ Exhibit personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.
β’ Strategic thinker with robust problem-solving and decision-making skills.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to formulate and convey clear strategies.
β’ Preferred knowledge of disease states in immunology.
