This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.
• Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with existing and prospective pulmonary thought leaders, with an emphasis on alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
• Engage in scientific discussions with Key Opinion Leaders and experts in the therapeutic area regarding emerging trends, evidence, and patient care practices.
• Evaluate dynamics within the therapeutic area, identify unmet needs, and gather clinical insights.
• Share scientific data and pertinent clinical study information with healthcare professionals.
• Keep abreast of current literature, publications, guidelines, and standards of care.
• Act as a scientific resource and trusted partner for academic physicians, researchers, academic institutions, centers of excellence, and key accounts.
• Function as a research liaison for investigators creating investigator-initiated research protocols.
• Assist with medical congresses, advisory boards, scientific presentations, medical intelligence activities, scientific speaker training, and company-sponsored clinical trial sites.
• Deliver formal scientific presentations to relevant healthcare audiences.
• Represent Grifols Medical Affairs while conveying scientific priorities, research interests, drug development initiatives, and the corporate mission.
• Comply with company policies and applicable regulatory and legal standards, while upholding high ethical standards.
• Travel frequently to site locations within the designated region by car or air, with occasional domestic travel outside the region.
• Must reside within the West territory: CA, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, TX, NM, AZ, and WY, preferably near a major airport.
• Hold an advanced degree in a scientific discipline, such as a PharmD, MD, PhD, or an advanced or master’s degree in nursing.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in clinical practice, academia, or the pharmaceutical sector.
• Thorough understanding of Grifols’ philosophy and policies.
• Exceptional interpersonal, strategic, and communication skills.
• Capability to comprehend, interpret, and convey complex scientific and medical information and data.
• Proficiency in discussing highly technical information confidently with leading academic experts.
• Computer literacy and the ability to learn the programs and procedures associated with MSL responsibilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
• Capacity to handle a demanding travel schedule and adjust to evolving priorities.
• Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
• Must meet the Qualifying Driver Criteria of the Grifols Fleet Program, which includes a 5-year review of Motor Vehicle Records for major driving violations.
• Depending on the assignment area, directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and competencies may be considered in lieu of stated requirements.
