This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Build and sustain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, affiliated healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, professional societies, and government representatives.
• Deliver accurate and current scientific information regarding targeted products and therapeutic domains.
• Develop and uphold connections with healthcare professionals and their clinic teams.
• Represent Allergan at scientific gatherings as well as national and regional professional conferences.
• Collaborate with the Medical Advisor to create and manage symposia and speaker programs.
• Identify and cultivate key opinion leaders and scientists for clinical trials, symposia, speaker programs, and advisory boards.
• Follow up on investigator-initiated research proposals and publication initiatives.
• Engage in training sessions for sales and commercial personnel.
• Create a field visit itinerary that meets the medical information needs of the designated territory.
• Ensure effective budget management over medical expenditures.
• Complete administrative duties within set deadlines.
• Conduct responsibilities in alignment with organizational policies and relevant federal and provincial laws and regulations.
• Facilitate roundtable discussions with regional key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
• Travel frequently across Canada and internationally (75%).
• Advanced proficiency in English is required; fluency is essential.
• Proficiency in French is necessary.
• Capability to make pertinent recommendations, influence, and persuade effectively.
• Ability to deliver high-quality service and nurture trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Research, analyze, and assess methods for distributing medical and scientific information.
• Manage and organize multiple projects and assignments within established timeframes.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrates initiative.
• Doctorate in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a PhD is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience is necessary.
• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical company or startup is preferred.
• Familiarity with Health Canada regulatory guidelines, FDA GMP/cGMP standards, PAAB, Rx&D, and PMPRB regulations.
• Proficient in delivering scientific presentations to an audience of healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of pharmacology and pharmaceutical principles is essential.
• Understanding of mathematical and statistical analysis principles in clinical research.
• Comprehension of the foundational principles of scientific research and the design and execution of clinical and preclinical studies.
