Medical Science Liaison – Diabetes Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Build, nurture, and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders to enhance awareness and advocacy for scientific data.

• Ensure ADC maintains a robust medical and scientific presence within major academic institutions by promoting research initiatives.

• Develop and implement both short- and long-term clinical and scientific support strategies addressing unmet needs and the competitive environment.

• Collaborate across departments such as Continuing Health Education, Market Access, and Sales while maintaining functional independence.

• Provide clinical protocol expertise to investigators for company-sponsored research, aligning with corporate goals, Health Canada regulations, and necessary approvals.

• Assist investigators with the Investigator Initiated Study program.

• Serve as a clinical and scientific resource within Medical Affairs related to disease states and company products.

• Deliver authoritative scientific presentations to healthcare providers, both individually and in groups.

• Participate in the selection of qualified thought leaders for educational and advisory partnerships.

• Attend scientific meetings and conferences; summarize key data and pertinent information; support Medical Affairs exhibit booths.

• Provide scientific and technical assistance for medical or scientific publications.

• Conduct all activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Medical or Scientific degree (NP, M.D., PhD, or Pharm D.) is preferred; candidates with relevant degrees or CDE and demonstrated experience will also be considered.

• At least 1 year of experience in an MSL role within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, device industry, or healthcare sector.

• Willingness to travel 60% of the time, including overnight trips and occasional weekends.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with exceptional self-leadership skills.

• Capable of functioning with minimal supervision and exhibiting a high degree of initiative.

• Comprehensive scientific and clinical knowledge with the ability to comprehend and integrate complex scientific concepts.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.

• Strong negotiation abilities and talent for building partnerships with opinion leaders.

• Understanding of Clinical Research/Good Clinical Practice.

• Experience in Diabetes is preferred.
