This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +3 more states.
• Contribute to strategic business plans for the ecosystem and identify essential stakeholders.
• Provide clinical, scientific, and health economic insights related to CNS disease states and the appropriate application of Otsuka products.
• Engage with key influencers, local practice leaders, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups.
• Assist in tailoring regional business strategies to meet local ecosystem requirements.
• Address the medical and educational needs of clients.
• Manage multiple products within the CNS therapeutic area and facilitate extensive clinical and scientific discussions.
• Offer clinical and scientific insights for local execution plans and coordinate field activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with scientific and medical stakeholders across the ecosystem.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of the ecosystem and align it with Otsuka's patient-centric approach.
• Deliver evidence-based information regarding the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of Otsuka and its products.
• Foster internal relationships within the matrix team and implement local medical strategies.
• Share information regarding disease states and the healthcare landscape with customers.
• Provide clinical and data-driven training for promotional and disease-state speakers.
• Support Otsuka's speaker bureau initiatives.
• Gather and submit medical insights to inform decision-making and prioritize evidence generation.
• Assist with clinical trials, including registrational studies, post-marketing trials, investigator-sponsored research, and health economic outcomes studies.
• Mentor colleagues and new team members.
• Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance, Sales Training medical education, and the Field Medical Center of Excellence.
• MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences, or a Master's degree with equivalent clinical experience in psychiatry or CNS.
• At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical medical affairs or a related field.
• Understanding of the interconnectedness of health systems and the overall patient care delivery process.
• Experience collaborating with healthcare professionals and other key decision-makers.
• Strong business acumen and awareness of the industry, including Otsuka's business model, value proposition, key competitors, and market dynamics.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven conflict resolution skills.
• Capability to lead teams and projects strategically.
• Proficiency in summarizing and conveying complex information and business objectives effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of the legal, regulatory, and compliance environment of the industry.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, transformative environment.
