This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Assist in developing the strategic business plan for the ecosystem and identify essential stakeholders.
β’ Offer clinical, scientific, and health economic insights related to CNS disease states and the appropriate use of approved Otsuka products.
β’ Engage with key influencers, local practice leaders, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups within the ecosystem.
β’ Aid in tailoring the regional business strategy to meet the medical and educational needs of customers.
β’ Oversee multiple CNS products and partake in clinical and scientific discussions that impact patient care.
β’ Provide a clinical and scientific viewpoint to local execution plans and coordinate field activities.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with scientific and medical stakeholders across the territory.
β’ Cultivate a thorough understanding of the ecosystem and align with Otsuka's patient-centric strategy.
β’ Supply evidence-based information regarding the clinical, economic, and humanistic value of Otsuka and its offerings.
β’ Foster internal collaborations across the matrix team and implement local medical strategies.
β’ Share disease-state and healthcare-landscape insights with field customers.
β’ Conduct clinical and data-focused training for promotional and disease-state speakers.
β’ Participate in Otsuka's speaker bureau as required.
β’ Gather and submit medical insights that inform decision-making and evidence-generation priorities.
β’ Assist with clinical trials, health economic outcomes research, and medical collaborations.
β’ Mentor colleagues and new team members.
β’ Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance, Sales Training medical education, and the Field Medical Center of Excellence.
β’ MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences, or a Master's degree with equivalent clinical experience in psychiatry or CNS.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical medical affairs or related fields.
β’ Understanding of the interconnectedness of health systems and the overall delivery of patient care.
β’ Experience collaborating with healthcare professionals and other decision-makers.
β’ Strong business acumen along with knowledge of the industry, Otsuka's business model and value proposition, key competitors, and market dynamics.
β’ Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
β’ Strong conflict resolution capabilities.
β’ Ability to lead others and strategically manage project teams.
β’ Ability to succinctly summarize and communicate complex information and business objectives.
β’ Solid understanding of the legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape in the industry.
β’ Capacity to thrive in an ambiguous environment undergoing change.

β’ Willingness to travel for business by air or car, up to 70% of the time depending on territory size.
