This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +4 more states.
• Provide a clinical and scientific viewpoint to the local execution plan to address customer challenges, issues, and opportunities.
• Oversee the coordination of field activities.
• Develop, nurture, and utilize relationships with key scientific and medical customers and organizations within the designated territory.
• Engage with Key Influencers, Local Practice Leaders, Key Decision Makers, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups.
• Cultivate a robust understanding of the ecosystem and align activities with Otsuka’s patient-centric approach.
• Deliver evidence-based clinical, economic, and humanistic information regarding Otsuka and its products.
• Collaborate with providers and stakeholders to implement real-world solutions that enhance patient outcomes.
• Foster internal working relationships across the matrix team and execute local medical strategies.
• Share disease-state and healthcare landscape information with customers.
• Provide clinical and data-oriented training for promotional and disease-state speakers.
• Participate in Otsuka’s speaker bureau as necessary.
• Gather and submit medical insights to facilitate decision-making and prioritize evidence generation.
• Assist in clinical trials, health economic outcomes research, and medical collaborations.
• Offer clinical expertise and feedback on clinical trial site selection and performance.
• Mentor colleagues and new team members.
• Support Safety & Pharmacovigilance, Sales Training medical education, and the Field Medical Center of Excellence.
• MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD in life sciences, or a Master's degree with equivalent experience in psychiatry or CNS.
• A minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical medical affairs or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the interconnectedness of health systems and the overall delivery of patient care.
• Experience interacting with healthcare professionals and decision makers.
• Strong business acumen and comprehensive understanding of the industry, Otsuka's business model and value proposition, key competitors, and market dynamics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong conflict resolution abilities.
• Capability to lead others and project teams strategically.
• Proficient in summarizing and relaying complex information and business objectives clearly and effectively.
• Solid understanding of the legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape within the industry.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.

• Willingness to travel by air or car up to 70% of the time.
