This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Build and sustain professional scientific connections between Allergan and the healthcare community.
• Design and implement educational programs focused on diseases and products.
• Forge and nurture relationships with key thought leaders, regional advocates, healthcare organizations, professional societies, and government representatives.
• Provide precise and current scientific information that underpins product and disease strategies.
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with medical professionals and clinic personnel.
• Represent Allergan at national and regional scientific conferences and professional congresses.
• Collaborate with the Medical Advisor on Allergan-sponsored symposia and speaker engagements.
• Identify and develop advocates for clinical trials, scientific meetings, speaker engagements, and advisory boards.
• Follow up on unsolicited investigator-initiated research proposals and opportunities for publication.
• Support the training of sales and business personnel.
• Create territory routing that addresses the medical information requirements of the assigned area.
• Ensure effective budget management of medical expenses.
• Complete administrative tasks punctually.
• Conduct roundtables with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in the area.
• Execute responsibilities in alignment with organizational, federal, and provincial laws and regulations.
• A doctoral degree is required (MD, PharmD, or PhD).
• A minimum of 3 years of directly relevant experience is required.
• Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or start-up environment is essential.
• Relevant background in Medical Affairs, Aesthetics, and Dermatology is advantageous.
• Field-based experience is a plus.
• Fluency in French is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in English/fluency in English is critical.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the country or internationally (75%).
• Understanding of Health Canada, FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), PAAB, Rx&D, PMPRB, and other regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with pharmacology and pharmaceutical principles and practices.
• Knowledge of mathematical and statistical analysis in clinical trials.
• Understanding of basic research, mechanisms of action, and pre-clinical studies.
• Skills in public speaking, scientific storytelling, and presentation techniques.
• Ability to make effective recommendations, influence, and persuade.
• Capability to research, analyze, and evaluate methods for disseminating medical and scientific information.
• Proficiency in managing and organizing multiple projects and assignments within specified timeframes.
