This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver administrative and operational assistance for the Benefits Determination Unit.
• Organize and oversee scheduling, tracking, and administrative tasks for peer-to-peer reviews, physician assessments, and Medical Director consultations.
• Keep records of reviewer availability, credentials, and related documentation.
• Facilitate benefit determination processes, which include review coordination, documentation, tracking, communication, escalation, reporting, meeting support, and case assignments.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure efficient workflow management.
• Ensure accurate documentation and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Assist in audit and reporting activities.
• Raise any identified workflow or compliance risks.
• Work remotely utilizing company-provided equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience in healthcare, managed care, and/or customer service, or a high school diploma (or equivalent) alongside five years of relevant experience in the same fields.
• Consideration will be given to equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of professionals and staff, both internally and externally.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, with the capability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and interactive skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, including the ability to document information while taking calls.
• Ability to identify issues, adhere to established processes, escalate concerns as necessary, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Capacity to be flexible, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive healthcare information appropriately.
• Must pass required background checks and a 10-Panel Drug Screen upon hiring and throughout employment.
• High-speed internet connection via cable or fiber optic with a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps, upload speed of 5 Mbps, and maximum latency of 100 milliseconds, to be installed before starting.
• Frequent use of computer and phone systems.
• Capability to remain stationary and seated for extended periods, communicate effectively, inspect information, perform repetitive motions, interpret data, solve problems, make decisions, organize and plan, and uphold a positive and professional attitude.
• A quiet workspace with minimal background noise for calls is essential.
