This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
β’ Collaborate with Cancer Care Leadership at the clinic site.
β’ Interpret, implement, manage, and oversee radiation safety policies, procedures, standards, and equipment for Radiation Oncology Services.
β’ Ensure the provision of high-quality radiation therapy.
β’ Educate and train staff effectively.
β’ Provide supervision to reduce radiation exposure.
β’ Adhere to and promote Customer Service Standards.
β’ Support and enforce patient safety and other safety protocols.
β’ Exhibit Family-Centered Care principles when engaging with patients, families, and colleagues.
β’ Travel to new installations to commission linear accelerators and treatment planning systems as part of the Commissioning role.
β’ A Master's or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related discipline is required for the listed physicist positions.
β’ At least 2 years of post-graduate physics experience in a similarly sized program with computerized treatment planning and equivalent computerized simulator/accelerator is required for the Clinical Transition and Implementation Physicist role.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency, is needed for the Medical Physicist β Prescott and Commissioning positions.
β’ At least 5 years of clinical experience, along with a CAMPEP-accredited residency, is essential for Senior Medical Physicist roles.
β’ Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics from the American Board of Radiology or an equivalent certifying body is required for specific roles; candidates lacking certification must be eligible and obtain certification within 3 years of employment.
β’ Preferred experience includes High Dose Rate (HDR) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) programs for certain positions.
β’ Familiarity with various clinical radiation oncology platforms, such as linear accelerators, surface guidance, EMR and R&V systems, HDR afterloaders, treatment planning systems, ion chambers, electrometers, and image analysis software is necessary.
β’ Desired experience includes computer system administration with patient record and verification database applications for certain roles.
β’ Capability to work with controlled technology in compliance with US export control laws.
β’ Adherence to relevant United States export control laws and regulations is required.
β’ Relocation assistance available for designated onsite positions.
β’ Up to 50% travel requirement for Clinical Transition and Implementation Physicist roles.
β’ Travel obligations of 50β75% for Commissioning Medical Physicist positions.
