This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate closely with medical directors and the clinical operations team to oversee and strategize for the medical pillar concerning healthcare practitioner functionality.
• Take ownership of file management by consolidating, updating, and maintaining electronic files and documents, including labs and referrals.
• Establish and adhere to a system for tracking lab requisitions to ensure complete receipt of results and documentation.
• Conduct audits on prior-month requisitions and reach out to labs and patients when test results are absent.
• Serve as a liaison and provide support between the pharmacy and healthcare practitioner communications.
• Schedule, manage, and assist healthcare practitioners and patients with audio/video consultations.
• Execute tasks assigned by the clinical operations manager or medical director.
• Collaborate closely with the customer support team.
• Maintain clinical documentation and revise training materials as necessary.
• Address faxes and voicemails from external stakeholders.
• Perform administrative and data entry tasks that support lab management processes.
• Assist healthcare practitioners with document management and basic editing of medical and insurance forms.
• Engage in Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance initiatives.
• Ensure the safeguarding and protection of personal health information as a personal health information delegate.
• Must reside in Canada.
• Must be available to work a fixed schedule from 5pm-1am EST (2pm-10pm PST), 5 days a week, including weekends, totaling 40 hours weekly.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Successful completion of a medical office administration program or equivalent education in a related field is necessary.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a medical office professional is required.
• Experience in virtual care is considered advantageous.
• Technical aptitude with a quick ability to learn software and systems is essential.
• Familiarity with an EMR is required.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are vital.
• Customer service experience is a valuable asset.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently, as we operate as a virtual-first company.
• Fluency in English is required; bilingualism in French is advantageous.
• Must have an appropriate remote working environment that allows for the secure handling of personal health information.
